The Alert app offers an easy way to highlight an important change or announcement.
Here are the instructions to use the app:
- Enter a valid date for when the app will start to appear on the page and when it will be removed. The app will no longer appear on the day after you set for the end date. So if you want the app to be removed today, you would set the end date to yesterday.
- Click on the "layout options" tab to choose one of the four styles available for the app. The "Standard" style uses the word "ALERT", the "Weather" style uses the words "WEATHER ALERT", the "Time" style displays the words "TIME CHANGE ALERT", and the "Notification" style has the word "NOTIFICATION" at the top of the app.
- The app can either be displayed in a column on the page using the "Inline" position, or it can be displayed over everything on the page using the "Page Overlay" position. When you use the page overlay option, you will also need to decide to have the app displayed either the first time the page is viewed only or displayed every time the page is visited.
- Click on the yellow "Save App" button at the bottom of the page.
