There are a couple of ways to upload files to the server and make links to those files.  You can link to PDF files as well as Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint documents.  This feature is ideal for sharing a newsletter or bulletin.  If the files you upload are typically smaller than 2MB each use the first set of instructions below.  If the documents are sometimes larger than 2MB, we recommend using the second option below.

Using the "Link to A Document" Feature:

  1. Use the Content Manager in the CONTENT menu to edit the page or app where you want to insert the link.
  2. Add some text or insert an image to use as the link object.
  3. Select the text with your mouse or click on the image you added.
  4. Click on the "Link" icon to create a link.
  5. A small window should open where you can click on a link across the top to "upload"
  6. When you click on that link, you will see a small gray button to "Choose File"
  7. Clicking the "Choose File" button will open a small dialog box that shows the files on your computer.
  8. Locate the file you want to upload, select it, and click on the "Open" button.
  9. Once you have chose the file you should see the file's name next to the gray "Choose File" button. Now click the blue "Send it to the server" button.
  10. When you do this a small popup will appear letting you know the file is uploaded and the small screen will re-direct to the first screen with your file name in the URL field.
  11. Click OK and the file will be added to your page.

Using the Resource Manager:

  1. Select the [Manage Resources] option from the CONTENT menu.
  2. Click on the blue button.
  3. Type a name for the resource.
  4. Click on the paper clip icon at the bottom of the page where it says "Select a resource type to upload"
  5. Click on the "Add Files" button to locate the file you want to upload and select it.  If you're unable to click on the "Add Files" button you'll need to click here to download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
  6. Click on the "Start Upload" button after you find the file you want to upload.
  7. The file may take some time to upload and process, but when it has finished, you should see the address for the file.  Select the full URL with your mouse beginning with "http://resources.razorplanet.com/" and copy it.
  8. Click "CONTENT" >> "Manage Content" to edit the page or wedge where you want to insert the link.
  9. Add some text or insert an image to use as the link object.
  10. Select the text with your mouse or click on the image you added.
  11. Click on the "Link" icon.
  12. A small window should open where you can paste the URL.
  13. Click "OK" and save the changes to the page.
